It's kind of wild to think that there was a time when nostalgia didn't exist, at least the term anyway. It was coined in the 17th century, 1688 to be exact, and was thought to be a sickness unique to the Swiss. By the 18th century, scientists were looking for an actual nostalgic bone.

•THIS•THAT•IS•NOT•

Fast forward to now, but jump back to then. We all pine and long in vain. Sometimes not for the past per se, but maybe for a more favorable period in a relationship, or perhaps to a fond memory of your father before you had the wisdom and/or hindsight to know that his behavior during your childhood would keep the lights on in your therapist's home until either you or she hitches a ride on the first thing smoking outta the River Styx.

Anyway, this here is kind of an anti-nostalgia anthem, which quasi-ironically you can return to in perpetuity. All we have is now. Love hard y'all. Until then.
