What can I say about 2020 that hasn't already been said about King Leopold II? It was incredibly racist, killed A LOT of people, and made the rich richer by exploiting the oppressed.

In other news, I released a bunch of music. Can one have a "Greatest Hits" without ever having a hit? If not, why not? Fine then. How 'bout Bestest Misses? (you being a hater though)

I'm certain my personal reflections on the past twelve months wouldn't add any insight to your own lived experience, so instead I'll just invite you to ruminate. Those who know me are aware of the struggles I've had. I will say this tho: humans have been INCREDIBLY kind to me with respect to my art and the parts of my heart that aren't scar tissue are full and overflowing. My attitude is gratitude.

So what's this then? Hypnagogic Jerk is some of my favorite jawns from the year that jolted us awake just as we were drifting off. Presented chronologically, it's also a window into my artistic progress as I challenged myself to make an album every month. If you'd rather not sludge through erythang, perhaps you can start with these?

Years aren't real, so obviously things aren't going to miraculously change tomorrow, but at least, and hopefully, we can try to reset internally to the best of our abilities and keep our eyes on the prize. It's gonna be rough, but we can make it (especially if you sit yo ass down and wear a mask ಠ_ಠ ).

Some of us ain't gone see tomorrow; let's be thankful for today.
