about

"I came to the fork in the road and went straight..." - Cappadonna

"Things could be different, but they're not" - Kevin Barnes

"Go then, there are other worlds than these..." - Jake

From the time that i was a wee Oui šŸ˜, I've been making up words. When I was four, I decided that *Matchuline* meant fighting, or more specifically defending myself from my two older brothers. As this is (likely) the last Bandcamp Friday, I think it's important for all of us to remember to keep fighting and defending ourselves.

I started this journey with y'all two years ago to make "depression you can dance to."

ā€¢THISā€¢THATā€¢ISā€¢NOTā€¢

So what's this then? I just told you. Pay attention. One for the road. Matchuline '82 is a reminder to look behind ya. Protect thy neck. Keep fighting. This includes the notion self. Negative self-talk is a MF. Keep fighting. Keep it funky. For me. But REALLY for you.

Dunno when I'll see y'all again, but I will.

There is no vessel large enough to contain my love and gratitude for you all.

As always, be kind to yourself, be gentle to others. šŸ˜˜
